Jessica Jesse believes an individual’s space, specifically the home, becomes an extension of the persona who inhabits the dwelling. “Selecting pleasing, relevant, extraordinary objects for the home is simply a way of confirming one’s existence,” notes Jesse, an avid world traveler exposed to exotic cultures since her childhood.

Born in Mexico City to parents of Austrian and Mexican nationalities, Jesse was raised and educated in both Mexico and the United States before embarking on a career in art, fashion and design. Jesse’s diverse creative background started in high fashion. Accumulating a vast knowledge and appreciation for fine craftsmanship and timeless design, Jesse’s fashion career included leadership positions with the world’s foremost retailers.

In recent years, Jesse’s chimeric vision and “Burtonesque” imagination has been the foundation for numerous artistic endeavors. In addition to the mesmerizing Women of Importance collection, Jesse created Effloresco, a series of 12 bronze sculptures exclusively available through Pure Sculpture. Each sculpture, inspired by the sinuous organic shapes found in nature, evoke contemplations of the creation that surrounds us. In 2013, Jesse returns to her fashion roots with the launch of her jewelry collection, BuDhaGirl.

When not creating distinctive sculpture and jewelry, Jesse lends her expertise and time as a board member of the Meadows Museum at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Jesse currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
